NEXT IN FASHION: ACCORDING TO DATA ANALYSIS
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text
Fashion isn’t just about what’s on the runways—it’s a reflection of culture, technology, and how we move through the world. While some trends hit fast and fade just as quickly, others build over time, rooted in shifting consumer behavior and deeper cultural movements. That’s where fashion data analysis comes in.
How Fashion Data Analysis Works
So, how do we actually predict what’s coming next? It’s not just about guessing—it’s about looking at patterns. Designers, brands, and analysts pull insights from multiple sources: runway collections, social media trends, retail sales, and even cultural shifts (like the rise of AI or sustainability movements). Trend forecasting companies use algorithms to track what people are buying, wearing, and engaging with online, helping to shape the industry’s next moves.
With that in mind, here are five key trends that are shaping 2025 and 2026:
ENHANCED NEUTRALS
With a 36.5% presence in the S/S 25/26 collection color category and a 1.7% growth over the previous year, the pastel shade that stood out the most this season is neutral.Think beyond beige and black—this era of neutrals is all about depth and texture. We’re seeing rich, creamy tones, cool charcoals, and unexpected earthy hues that feel sophisticated but never boring. The focus? Luxe fabrics that make minimalism feel expensive.

FUTURE DUSK
There’s something about the blend of soft futurism and moody, celestial hues that keeps coming back. “Future Dusk” embodies deep purples, oil-slick blues, and muted metallics—colors that feel like a sunset on another planet. It taps into the growing interest in AI, space-age aesthetics, and an overall futuristic edge in fashion.WGSN and Coloro announced the Colour of the Year for 2025 will be Future Dusk, a shade between blue and purple. This Fashion Week, there was an 11.2% increase in the dark blue colour mix on the catwalks compared to the previous season. Dark blue reached a 33.2% presence on the runway, bringing a sense of mystery and escapism.

MINI DRESS
The mini dress is one of the key garments in the summer 25 dress category, with head-to-toe denim (9.1% of the total denim category) and asymmetrical styles (21.9% of the total dress category), highlighting its versatile appeal. Expect sharp tailoring, structured silhouettes, and playful details that make mini dresses feel modern rather than overly nostalgic. Whether it’s sleek and mod or draped and ethereal, the mini is back and ready to dominate.

WIDE LEG JEANS
Denim trends always cycle, but the wide-leg jean is proving to have staying power. The difference this time? More structure, longer lengths, and cleaner lines that make them feel elevated rather than overly casual. They’re an easy swap for trousers, bringing a relaxed yet polished feel to everyday dressing. While WGSN TrendCurve AI points to denim as a stable garment in the U.S. and U.K. for Summer 25, it is seeing a shift toward tailoring, #OfficeWear and #SartorialStyling. However, #WideLegJeans grew by 1.3% in the U.S. and 1.6% in the U.K., reaffirming itself as the dominant model for yet another season, accounting for 27.1%

EYE CATCHING BRACELETS
Jewelry is shifting focus—chunky rings and layered necklaces are still around, but bracelets are stepping up as the statement piece. Cuffs, sculptural bangles, and chain-link designs will be everywhere. It’s all about adding an unexpected, bold element to an outfit with just one piece. Metal bracelets, favoured by the demand for #LuxuryRelaxed style, showed the second highest growth, behind necklaces, on the S/S 25 runways, up 4.8% over the previous year. Eye-catching bracelets consolidated their position as the top item, accounting for 15.9% of the accessories category.

Final Thoughts
Trends don’t exist in a vacuum—they evolve from what’s happening in the world, what people are craving, and how fashion adapts to our daily lives. Whether it’s the rise of futuristic aesthetics or the return of structured minis, 2025 and 2026 are shaping up to be an interesting mix of innovation and nostalgia.
